Wax Aftercare! The do’s and don’ts


If you found yourself here you are most likely still wondering why we have such extensive Aftercare instructions! No worries we are here to clear that up and put your mind and body at peace while you are getting continuing Wax Services.


1.Avoid the sun!

After the first 48 hours your skin will already be sensitive. it’s best to avoid UVA and UVB rays that could Cause sun damage and hyperpigmentation.


2. Avoid swimming!

it goes for indoor pools too—and especially large bodies of water ocean, lake, or river that could contain bacteria. “Avoid public water like swimming pools for a few days.


3. Be careful not to overexfoliate.

Waxing removes the topmost layer of dead skin, along with the hair, any kind of additional scrubbing can lead to skin damage. Yikes we don't want that! However, after the first few days, it’s important to remove dead skin cells with a light scrub or exfoliating serum or Exfoliating Gloves to prevent ingrown hairs.


4. Avoid the sauna and hot yoga/ Excessive working out .

Steam opens your pores, which helps to push hair out, Because it could cause premature stubble, bacteria love to thrive in warm, wet places, and you want to keep your Freshly Waxed area Clean, Clean as possible! it's worth the break from these activities!


5. Wait a little before getting a spray tan.

The chemicals may irritate your skin,

and The color will look uneven between waxed and the Unwaxed areas. It's best to hold off and get that appointment rescheduled. :)


6. Check your skincare!

Stick with gentle, fragrance-free body washes and creams for the first few days after your waxing appointment. Avoid any fragrance soaps, lotions or other toiletry items with artificial fragrance or color.


7. Take showers instead of baths.

It's better to take showers for the week after! Why? Because it will make you more prone to infection's! We want you to be comfortable after a fresh wax.


8. Sorry, no Romance!

TMI! it's easy to forget. Any kind of action down there, can lead to discomfort. It can cause excessive chafing from friction on extra-delicate skin.


9. Wear loose clothing.

One thing to keep in mind both before you head into your appointment and after: Anything tight-fitting can rub raw spots and irritate those areas. You'll want to give your leggings and tight jeans a break for a few days and stick with flowy pants , and cotton fabrics.
